The Season Of Snacks: The Story of the Snack Gift Set

Christmas is when you are hosting or attending parties, and we are all delighted to bring a plate or provide an array of exciting treats to wow our guests and hosts alike. My husband and I took dips, celery and crisps to our friend's house this week. Presenting them in my Olive and Dips Bowl Gift Set would have created a mellow display alongside the other tasty treats.

Embracing the beauty of imperfection and the tranquillity of Japandi-style aesthetics, enjoy the handmade craftsmanship of my Snack Set. The Snack Set consists of three olive bowls and two dip bowls, each uniquely shaped and reflecting the inspiration drawn from the British landscape.

I first created my olive bowls in 2018. These petite bowls have always been popular in the shops and galleries I sell to. This pottery olive bowl is hand-made with coloured clay in a Japandi style. This small bowl is 6 cm high, 10 cm wide at the rim, and 4 cm wide at the base. I enjoy making the bowls' angles using a wooden kidney to create the form on the wheel.

The Dip Bowls were created after one of my galleries requested some smaller dishes. The 60 ml capacity bowl measures just 3.4 cm high and 8.2 cm wide at the rim. These mini bowls work well as sugar bowls when serving tea, making them versatile in your kitchen cupboards.

Looking back at these images taken in September 2021, I love seeing how my bowls' colours complement the olives' colour. I hope this set becomes a weekly ritual for a cosy night in with a good film, your favourite snacks and a lovely bottle of wine, which, as a further treat, can be served in my Wine Tumblers. Or the set can be brought out for a Christmas party or family gathering, creating a charming way to display your nibbles. Take a look.
