About Karen Dawn Curtis gift vouchers

All workshop vouchers purchased for Christmas 2023 will be valid until 31st January 2024. Vouchers are issued immediately online & sent via email. You can add the name of the recipient to the voucher. Please make your recipient aware of the short timeframe as this can not be extended.

Spending the vouchers

Each voucher contains a unique 6-digit code which is used to verify the voucher value and make a booking. 

Using your voucher to book a course is very easy and there are two ways that you can use it:

Simply contact Karen Dawn Curtis directly via e-mail. You will need to provide your 6-digit voucher code to Karen Dawn Curtis at the time of booking.

Voucher receipt

An invoice confirming the details of the purchase will also be issued by email. We cannot provide a VAT receipt as we do not collect VAT for workshops.

Vouchers issued via email

All gift vouchers are automatically issued online and via email. These are complimentary as part of all Karen Dawn Curtis gift voucher purchases and can include the recipient’s name (optional) as well as the start date, expiry date, and amount. You can print out the voucher to give to the recipient in person (they are designed to be easily printed on A4 and folded to form a voucher) or you can forward the voucher via email.

Validity

Karen Dawn Curtis gift vouchers are usually valid for 6 months from the start date of the voucher. Please note all workshop voucher bought for Christmas 2023 will only be valid until 31st January 2024.  Sessions must be taken using your voucher code before this expiry date or the voucher will no longer be valid.

Course availability and tutors

All courses are offered subject to availability and places on specific courses are not guaranteed when you purchase a gift voucher - bookings must be agreed directly with Karen. The vouchers are sold for specific courses. Karen Dawn Curtis is a craftsperson and the courses are therefore bespoke and offered in limited numbers.

Please be aware that there are limited dates available for booking individual sessions, particularly during busier periods, so if you have a voucher for one of these sessions please allow at least two months before the expiry date of your gift voucher to book these.

Please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. 

Cancellations

You can cancel your booking for a refund up to 14 days after purchase. Your gift voucher will be released back to you so that you can use it to book another course.

Sometimes the tutor may need to cancel the course at short notice for reasons beyond their control, such as adverse weather conditions, illness, or mechanical breakdowns. Therefore, we recommend that you contact the tutor the day before the course to check. We regret that in the event of cancellation, Karen Dawn Curtis is unable to reimburse travel, accommodation, or any other expenses you may incur about the cancelled course.

Restrictions

Certain courses are subject to certain requirements specified by our providers, such as age, health, or accessibility. Details of each course are available online but please check carefully upon making the booking that you comply with the requirements. 

Theft 

Vouchers must be kept safely and securely. Karen Dawn Curtis will take no responsibility for any loss you may incur as a result of theft, impersonation, or identity fraud. We may be able to cancel and re-issue vouchers that have been stolen, as long as they have not yet been used, so if this has happened to you please get in touch at karen@karendawncurtis.co.uk.  

Refunds

Refunds will only be made on unused and un-verified vouchers bought directly from and issued by Karen Dawn Curtis within 14 days of purchase. Refunds can only be made to the person who purchased the voucher and credited to the same credit or debit card or PayPal account used for payment. Qualifying refunds will be made for the full value of the gift voucher excluding any payment made for a physical gift card and postage.

The course information on Karen Dawn Curtis is updated regularly. All content including prices is subject to change.

Safety & insurance

All students will be required to follow the rules of the Health and Safety Procedure any student not follow this procedure can be asked to leave.

Complaints & feedback

Your feedback on the vouchers is welcome, so please bring any comments or issues to our attention as soon as possible, so that we have a chance to put matters right. If your issue is with the course or tutor (rather than the voucher process) please take this up with the tutor on the day, as course content and structure are largely beyond our control. However, if you are unable to resolve any issues directly with the tutor please let us know so that we can also look into it.

The above terms and conditions apply as a condition of purchasing and/or using any voucher, whether or not the voucher holder is the original purchaser. Karen Dawn Curtis reserves the right to change these terms from time to time without reference to customers or notice. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer and are governed by and by British law.
