Christmas is fast approaching, and I wanted to give you my top 5 gift ideas from my shop for 2023. I hope you will love my chosen gifts and find the inspiration you need. I have selected several old favourites, which I know have been loved by many recipients and some of my newer items that I hope will bring the joy that Lyla wrote in her review last December: “Amazing selection of beautiful products, amazing service and communication, and quick, safe delivery. Karen was SO helpful. I hope she continues to spread ceramic joy for all eternity.”
Number 1 – 500 ml Gravy Jug
Everyone needs a gravy jug for Christmas, and many people have loved this unusual-shaped jug over the last few years. I have introduced a new colour for the jug this year, Earth Brown, with only five available in this colour; it is buying these early which will avoid disappointment.
This jug has been featured in two magazines, Country Living in 2021 and Red in November 2023. This beautiful gravy boat is perfect for serving your homemade sauce. Whether entertaining friends or family or having a cosy winter night in the dining room or kitchen. This jug brings the peaceful colours of the British landscape into your home. As each guest pours your sauce, they will experience the refined, tactile surface inspired by the beautiful sandy stone beaches of the UK.
Number 2 – Medium Vase
Here is the perfect present for your green-fingered friend who loves to display their hard work in the house. These handmade vases have been reconstructed with a complementary clay coil built into the top. The elements of the making process are left visible in the handmade decorative vase, creating a wabi-sabi design. The vase is 16 cm tall, and the width is perfect for holding a medium bunch of flowers.
Number 3 – Coffee for Two
This new gift set is perfect for any coffee-loving couple who adores the British landscape and can use this set to create restful moments in a busy lifestyle. It has two 300 ml Cups, a 300 ml Milk Jug and a Sugar Bowl. Buying a gift set ensures you receive the best price for the items, with all gift sets being cheaper than purchasing the items individually. Each item will be wrapped in navy blue tissue paper and secured with one of my branded stickers.
You can read about the design process of my 300 ml cups in my blog. My First Product- a 300 ml Cup formally named The Happy Cup.
Number 4 – The Fruit Bowl
Inspired by the peaceful and restful qualities of Japandi-style aesthetics, this oversized ceramic Fruit Bowl features a refined textural surface and a calming natural colour achieved through coloured clay. You can read about its design in my blog The Centrepiece of the Wine and Dine Collection – The Fruit Bowl.
Your recipient will love using this bowl at family gatherings over Christmas or cosy dinners in January and February; this handmade ceramic bowl will impress their guests and elevate their dining experience. It is a functional and stylish piece for everyday use, whether enjoying a relaxing meal or displaying fresh fruits as a decorative accent in your kitchen.
Number 5 – Wine and Water Set
My Water or Wine-drinking set is my favourite gift set, which I discuss in my blog, The Creation of the Water and Wine Set. This collection has been developed over five years. Each piece is hand-made with oxide-coloured clay in a Japandi style. The set includes my large ceramic jug and six popular wine beakers. Available in my three unique colours: dark blue-grey, pale grey-blue and sandy beige. This hand-thrown pottery gift set has beautiful natural hues and a refined textural and tactile surface, which the British Landscape inspires.
This gift set is perfect for a Christmas present; this unique set will be treasured throughout the year for serving stimulating beverages such as homemade lemonade, infused water, or your favourite wine during summer gatherings or intimate winter dinners.
